1. Head Injury – it occurs when an external force or an object causes damage to the brain. A severe injury to the brain often leads to a long-term disability, complications or death. Wearing a helmet and a proper motorcycle gear reduces your chance of having a severe motorcycle accident injury. Some signs and symptoms of head injuries may appear immediately while in some cases, it manifests days or weeks later.

2. Road Rash / Skin Injury – a mild to severe abrasion of the skin which is usually caused by a bike or motorcycle accidents. Not wearing a proper gear or protective clothing often leads to a more severe form of abrasion.

3. Bone Fracture – a broken bone that is caused by a collision or of certain medical conditions that tend to weaken and break the affected bone.

4. Spinal Cord Injury – damage to any part of the spinal cord or nerves at the end of the spinal canal. Often causes permanent changes in strength, sensation and other body functions below the site of the injury. According to the Mayo Clinic, emergency signs and symptoms of a spinal cord injury after an accident may include:
-Extreme back pain or pressure in your neck, head or back
-Weakness, in-coordination or paralysis in any part of your body
-Numbness, tingling or loss of sensation in your hands, fingers, feet or toes
-Loss of bladder or bowel control
-Difficulty with balance and walking
-Impaired breathing after injury
-An oddly positioned or twisted neck or back
