San Francisco Ranks #1 for Pedestrian and Motorcycle Accidents

The California Office of Traffic Safety administers grants to local and state agencies to reduce traffic deaths and injuries to zero. To that end, the agency gathers collision statistics and ranks locations according to the population. Here’s what the latest compilation discovered for the top 13 cities in the state: With 4,042 total victims, San Francisco ranks fourth among traffic injuries and death. With 355 motorcyclists and 631 bicyclists killed or injured, the city ranked first for two-wheeled accidents. With 990 pedestrians killed or injured, the city also ranked first.
