Drive Slower
When driving in a storm, make sure to slow down a little. You don’t have to maintain your usual speed. In addition, make sure to keep a larger distance from the vehicle ahead of you, as visibility will be a lot lower.

When pulling over at the side of the road, make sure that it won’t appear to another driver as if you’re on the road itself. Because of limited visibility, drivers can mistake you for a moving vehicle, which can result in a collision. If necessary, wait until you reach a rest station in order to take a break.
Keep Up With the Weather
Keep up with the weather. Listen to the local radio forecasts. Download an app that will inform you about impending storms and other weather conditions. Try to switch your shift or change your schedule so that you don’t get stuck in a storm.
Know Your Limits
Know what you’re capable of. Be smart and know which weather conditions will be difficult or dangerous for you.
Make Sure Your Lights Work
Make sure your lights are working. If necessary, clean them off so that they aren’t obstructed. Change them as needed.
